Billy Joe’s is a project we took on where the need by the management was to cover an outside bar measuring 24’x 16’. They had some challenging requests:
1st was a request for only 4 support poles so we had to use upsized 6x6 steel uprights and mount them to the bottom concrete level and not the decking area.
2nd they wanted the canopy to extend 8’ past each side of the bar so they could protect their staff and clients from sun and rain.
We were able to engineer this and turn this into one of the largest free standing awnings anywhere in the area. All the framing members are made out of galvanized steel and all of the components were made at our shop by our employees. The fabric chosen was a Sunbrella #4860 (silca sesame). Billy Joe’s is great place on the Newburgh waterfront to enjoy a meal with the family or a late night out with friends. While at the waterfront you will also see many of our other awning projects done for the other restaurants.
Sun when you want it and shade when you need it. Eclipse brand products have on demand open and close with the touch of a button and are self storing and maintenance free. How cool is that?
